My Rich Dad, on the other hand, made a habit of exercising his brain. The stronger it gets, the more money I can make.” He believed that automatically saying “I can’t afford it” was a sign of mental laziness.Īlthough both dads worked hard, I noticed that my Poor Dad had a habit of putting his brain to sleep when it came to money matters. My rich dad said: “My brain gets stronger every day because I exercise it. My rich dad did not mean ‘buy everything you want.’ He was, though, fanatical about exercising your mind – the most powerful computer in the world. By asking the question “How can I afford it?” your brain is put to work. My rich dad would explain that by automatically saying the words “I can’t afford it” your brain stops working. One lets you off the hook the other forces you to think. He insisted that I say, “How can I afford it?” One is a statement, the other a question. For example: My poor dad had a habit of saying, “I can’t afford it.” My rich dad forbade those words to be used. I had to think about each dad’s advice and, in doing so, gained valuable insights into the power and effect of one’s thoughts on one’s life. One dad would say, “The love of money is the root of all evil.” The other, “The lack of money is the root of all evil.” Having two dads – and loving them both – forced me to think about, and ultimately choose, a way of thinking for myself. Both were just starting out in their careers both were struggling with money and families.īut, regardless of those facts, both had very different points of view on the subject of money. The problem was that my rich dad was not yet rich, and my poor dad not yet poor. Having two dads as advisors offered me the perspective of contrasting points of view: one of a rich man and one of a poor man. If you are daring - go on and prosper in your lifetime. Rules of nature always apply and growing legitimate rich takes a lot of efforts, focus, learning from mistakes (wisdom), giving (cash not time) and long term commitment. Only 16% of the richest people inherited their wealth. Its not for the lazy, unmotivated, people who cannot handle pressure of growing their income, don’t want to sell (number one most important skill) or those who believe in luck, lottery ,Corruption,Bribery,Kickbacks,Family Wealth (Food Stamps for the Rich) 46% of the richest people on earth are entrepreneurs. The aim of such activity is to lower your rational thinking, and make you feel a part of the group that seemingly shares the same goals and is given clear and obvious choices.ĭon't waste your time attending these "seminars" (and God forbid getting into their "investment" schemes.Rich dad education is open to everyone who is serious about becoming Rich through knowledge, action, financial discipline, hard work and continuous expanding of ones reality and context. The event itself is held in typical American style where the audience is asked to shout their answers all together (Do you personally want to be rich. My only explanation is that Kiyosaki gets some kind of royalties for these franchise using his brand for trying to get people to invest into (failing?) property firms. I won't even go to all the details about this event, total waste of time that led to presenter trying to get attendees to invest in a property company. "NO QUESTIONS" it said on his amateurish power points, along with "NO USING PHONES" (also convenient not to have any proof of these "seminars"). Why is his wife of retired age doing a reception job at this event, if she's supposed to be on a villa in Provence?.īut conveniently, he forbid asking any questions.

Why is he humiliating himself and making a fool out of himself in a stuffy conference room in a hotel on the outskirts of Paris, if he is free from "slavery"? At this point already some questions rose: Through the event he emphasized numerous times how he's free from "slavery" (= any type of work) and just manages his "investments", while enjoying the luxurious life in Southern France. (A short research showed that his real name is Stephen Sweet, and here's our hero on LinkedIn: ). But there was a guy wearing a badge with the name Wolf instead. Much of the audience, like myself, was led to believe that Robert Kiyosaki would himself be holding a workshop. My alarm bells should have rang when I got 3 emails, 2 phone calls (!) and 2 sms before the event - all just to make sure that I do attend.
I saw an announcement about FREE (sic!) Robert Kiyosaki "Rich Dad education workshop" happening where I live and decided to attend.
